At Roto-Rooter, our video camera inspections offer a fast, accurate, and non-invasive way to identify problems within your sewer lines. Here’s what sets our service apart:
Our sewer camera inspection process involves inserting a High-Dynamic-Range (HDR) waterproof video camera with powerful LED lights into your sewer lines. This flexible camera navigates through pipes ranging from 2 to 36 inches in diameter, capturing real-time video footage of the interior condition. The live feed to a video monitor allows our technicians to conduct a real time inspection of the pipeline. He can identify and mark the location of root intrusion, cracks, corrosion, obstructions, and structural issues like pipe separation and offsets. The footage is saved and a copy provided for your records.
Your technician was prompt, professional, and friendly—he immediately put us at ease and got to work. The issue was fixed in 45 minutes, and he took time to explain everything clearly. His good humor really helped ease our stress—thank you! Hallie B
Brian was great, he came within 30 minutes of our emergency call. He showed us the problem on his camera. Filled out all the paperwork online with Patricia, and the next day his guys showed up (ON TIME) and did the work in record time! We would highly recommend Roto-Rooter! Lisa N
Jeff was our technician for an emergency weekend service call. He arrived within an hour of calling. He was professional and knowledgeable, stayed until he was sure the line was clear which took some time. He also addressed a potential problem and set up a camera inspection while he was on site. We really appreciated his conscientiousness. Sandra A

It visually inspects hard-to-reach pipes, such as those underground or behind walls, to detect hidden issues without guesswork.
How does a sewer inspection camera work?
A flexible rod with a high-definition camera is inserted into the pipe, transmitting live video to a monitor for thorough inspection.
What issues can the camera detect?
It can identify cracks, root intrusion, corrosion, leaks, grease buildup, and misaligned or obstructed pipes.
When should I schedule a sewer camera inspection?
If you have frequent clogs, backups, or slow drains—or before buying a home—it’s smart to inspect the sewer line.
The time required to complete a video camera inspection of your sewer will depend on the length of the sewer pipe and the condition of the pipe itself. If your sewer is only ten or twelve feet in length, the inspection should only take ten or fifteen minutes. But if your sewer is much longer and contains offset joints or partial collapsed sections, the inspection could take much longer to complete.
