Our Services in Tavares
A burst pipe, a sewage backup, or a water heater that quits overnight cannot wait until Monday morning. Roto-Rooter is available 24/7, 365 days a year - including weekends and holidays - so a technician can respond when the problem actually happens, not when it is convenient.
Plumbing emergencies tend to escalate quickly. A small leak at a supply line connection can soak a cabinet, warp flooring, and compromise drywall within hours. A main sewer line backup that reaches multiple fixtures means the entire drain system is compromised. Speed matters. Roto-Rooter's dispatch network is structured to get a uniformed technician moving toward your address as fast as possible.
When you call 352-571-1007, you reach live dispatch - not a voicemail. The technician who arrives carries the diagnostic tools and equipment to assess the situation on the spot, explain the cause clearly, and begin work the same visit. Free estimates apply, so you understand the scope before any work starts.
Our technician was amazing. Very nice and extremely professional!!

Got the work done. Took photos, as we live in California.
Called on Saturday for an emergency call, our septic backed up. Nick came out, was friendly, knowledgeable and quick to help fix our problem. Nick and Roto-rooter are the type ... of business you can count on. We gladly give our recommendation. Thank you for your help!

Apparently my request wasn't sent to the actual roto-rooters, so I feel like that should be amended. However, when I was finally able to be serviced (almost two hours after ... my scheduled appointment), my issues were dealt with very well and the plumber was incredibly friendly and helpful. Would definitely want him to come again.

I couldn't be more pleased with our service technician named Angelo and Roto-Rooter. We had a clogged toilet . After several hours of trying to unclog ... it myself I called Roto-Rooter with the best decision I've made so far this year . Her professionalism. So what is top notch . Angelo saw the problem and told me exactly what he was going to do to fix it . Thank you Roto Rooter!
Kevin our service Teck took care of the issues with great care and concern. Getting our client back up and running promptly.
My five star rating is based on the customer service I received from Gino Dattile. There was some miscommunication on the job and Gino stepped up without hesitation to accept ... full accountability. They refunded all of my money. I will use them again since their customer service is excellent. Thanks Gino!

Larry called ahead, arrived, knew exactly what he had to do, went about and did the job quickly and efficiently, provided good insight on our issue and how to prevent ... it from happening again as well as had a look at another issue and connected us with different division of the company to get the job done. Really appreciate his help and his friendly "want to help" manner and he solved our issue correctly!

Good service, good result
On Sunday, December 17, I came home to water in my tub and shower and a toilet that overflowed. I called at least six "24-hour emergency plumbers" but no ... one was able to help. When I called Roto-Rooter, the answering service called your on-call person Nick; he called me back within minutes and calmly explained to me what I needed to do. The next morning I received a call to schedule a pump out service call for my septic, and Nick showed up and did an awesome job. He explained what he was doing and how our system worked. Everyone provided us excellent service, but I can say without a doubt that Nick is the reason that I had your company come out to pump out my septic. He provided excellent customer service, over the phone and in person. Thanks!

I called Roto Rooter on behalf of my daughter who was having a drain leakage under her home in Winter Haven, FL. The Lakeland office responded to my call and ... sent Chris and Will to meet with me at my daughter's home. They assessed the problem and gave me an estimate. Two days later, they came and repaired the plumbing. Now this was no routine problem, besides working under the sink, they had to work under the house which has a 21/2' crawl space to reroute the the drain line and tap into the cast iron sewer drain. Chris and Will did an excellent job, which was neat and clean when they were finished. Their work is much appreciated. Colin Cameron

My service, Sept. 3, 2019 @ mid morning. All was satisfactory with the exception of the charge. I was charged an OVERTIME rate because there was a Hurricane in the ... Bahamas, which had no effect in The Villages, Fl, Sumter county. There is a term for that , which I can't recall, that makes it illegal to charge extra for services during a hurricane. I asked and I was told that it was because of the hurricane. I believe Rotor Rooter should refund to me the difference between the standard charge and the over time charge. Is this how Rotor Rooter treats 83 years of age people, instead giving them a discount? Ante Puhalovich 2315 Pine Ridge St. The Villages, Fl.32162 apuhalov@yahoo.com

The technician deserves 6 stars extremely knowledgeable and kind. The reason for the 4 stars is was told someone would be here from 7:00pm to 8:00pm and someone didn't show ... up until 12:30am. Technician that showed up went out of his way and worked extra to assist
Most plumbing calls fall into a recognizable set of problems. Understanding what causes them - and how a professional diagnoses each one - helps homeowners in Tavares know when to call and what to expect.

Drain problems range from a single slow sink to a full main-line backup that affects every fixture in the house. A single slow drain usually points to buildup in the P-trap or the branch line serving that fixture. Kitchen drains clog from cooking grease that cools and solidifies on the pipe wall. Bathroom drains collect hair and soap scum just past the P-trap. When multiple fixtures back up simultaneously, the blockage is almost always in the main sewer line - between the house and the city connection.
Not every leak announces itself with a puddle. Supply line leaks behind walls, under slabs, and at fixture connections can go undetected for weeks. Signs include unexplained spikes in water usage, soft spots in drywall, discoloration on ceilings, or a water meter that keeps moving when all fixtures are off. A Roto-Rooter technician uses moisture meters and visual inspection to trace the leak path without unnecessary demolition.
Sediment accumulates on the tank floor over time, causing the rumbling or popping sounds many homeowners notice. That same sediment layer forces the heating element to work harder, shortening the unit's life. A failing anode rod allows corrosion to attack the tank wall from the inside. Thermostat failures produce water that never reaches the right temperature. Pressure relief valve problems create a safety risk. Roto-Rooter technicians diagnose tank, tankless, gas, and electric water heater failures and identify whether repair or replacement is the right path.

A full tank typically slows all fixtures at once, while a single slow drain points to a line clog. Septic system failure signs include sewage odors near the drainfield, soggy or unusually green grass over the field, and gurgling sounds in multiple drains. These symptoms suggest solids have reached the distribution pipes. A Roto-Rooter technician can diagnose whether the problem is a full tank, a line clog, or drainfield saturation.
A sudden, whole-house pressure drop points to a supply-side issue: a partially closed shutoff valve, a failing pressure reducing valve, or a leak pulling pressure out of the line before it reaches your fixtures. Low pressure at only one fixture usually means a clog or corroded aerator at that point. Roto-Rooter technicians diagnose both scenarios, tracing the pressure loss to its source and repairing the valve or line responsible.
A sewer camera is a waterproof camera mounted on a flexible cable that travels through the drain line and transmits live video. It reveals exactly where a blockage sits, whether a pipe has collapsed or bellied, and whether roots are the recurring cause. If your drain backs up repeatedly after clearing, or if you are buying an older home, a camera inspection removes the guesswork and tells you precisely what repair is needed.
Most septic tanks need pumping every three to five years, though household size and usage affect that schedule. The tank separates solids from liquid; solids accumulate as sludge on the bottom and scum on the top. When those layers build up too high, solids reach the outlet pipe and travel to the drainfield, clogging the soil pores and causing expensive drainfield damage. Regular pumping keeps those layers at a safe level.
Tree roots seek moisture, and older sewer laterals have hairline cracks at pipe joints that release warm, humid air. Roots grow into those gaps and expand as they absorb water from the pipe. Over time they form a dense mat that catches debris and causes recurring backups. A Roto-Rooter technician clears root intrusion with the Roto-Rooter Machine and can follow up with a camera inspection to assess the line's condition.
Yes. Roto-Rooter operates 24/7, 365 days a year, including nights, weekends, and holidays. A burst pipe does not wait for business hours, and the water damage it causes compounds by the minute. When you call 352-571-1007, dispatch connects you with a technician for urgent plumbing service in Tavares, FL. Shutting off the main supply valve first limits damage while you wait for the technician to arrive.
When toilets, tubs, and sinks all back up simultaneously, the blockage is almost always in the main sewer line between the house and the street rather than in any individual fixture. A single fixture clog affects only that drain. A main line blockage affects every fixture that drains into it. Roto-Rooter clears main line blockages with heavy-duty augering or hydro jetting, depending on what the camera inspection reveals.

Hidden leaks often show up as soft drywall, discolored paint, or an unexplained spike in your water bill before you ever see standing water. A Roto-Rooter technician uses moisture meters and visual inspection to trace the source without unnecessary demolition. Catching a hidden leak early prevents structural damage that compounds quickly. Call 352-571-1007 to schedule a leak detection visit.
A running toilet almost always comes down to a worn flapper or a faulty fill valve. The flapper seals the tank between flushes; when it degrades, water trickles continuously into the bowl. Jiggling the handle shifts the flapper temporarily but does not fix the seal. Roto-Rooter replaces the flapper or fill valve so the toilet stops cycling water and your water bill stops climbing.
Rumbling usually means sediment has settled on the bottom of the tank. As the burner heats water trapped beneath that layer, it pops and rumbles. Left alone, sediment accelerates corrosion and forces the heater to work harder. A Roto-Rooter technician flushes the tank, inspects the anode rod, and tests the pressure relief valve to restore efficiency and extend the unit's life.
A cable auger punches through a blockage, which clears the immediate clog but leaves grease and scale coating the pipe wall. Hydro jetting sends a high-pressure water jet down the line that scours the pipe wall itself, removing calcified grease, mineral scale, and root debris. The result lasts significantly longer because the buildup that feeds future clogs is physically removed, not just punctured.
Roto-Rooter has been in business since 1935. That span of time reflects something more durable than longevity - it reflects a diagnostic process and a service standard that has been refined across millions of service calls nationwide. Every technician who arrives at a Tavares address follows that same national process: assess the symptom, trace the cause, explain the finding, and fix the problem correctly the first time.
The brand's consistency comes from structure. Uniformed technicians carry standardized equipment. Dispatch operates around the clock. Free estimates are provided before work begins, so there are no surprises about scope. That structure exists because plumbing problems do not follow a schedule, and the homeowner dealing with a sewer backup at 11 p.m. deserves the same quality of response as someone who calls at 10 a.m. on a Tuesday.
Each service category draws on the same national training framework. A technician handling a septic pump-out and a technician clearing a main sewer line both follow Roto-Rooter's documented diagnostic sequence. That consistency is what makes the brand recognizable and what makes the outcome predictable for the homeowner.
Choosing a plumbing service comes down to reliability and transparency. Roto-Rooter's 24/7, 365-day availability means you are not left managing a worsening problem over a weekend. Free estimates mean you know what you are agreeing to before work begins. And the national brand standard means the technician at your door has been trained to the same benchmark as every other Roto-Rooter technician across the country.
To schedule service or request a free estimate in Tavares, call Roto-Rooter at 352-571-1007. Live dispatch is available around the clock - day, night, weekend, or holiday.
